19th November 2010 - Looe new lifeboat.

The locals of Looe have raised over £69,000 to replace their D class Inshore Lifeboat D-574 Regina Mary.

Officially on service this week, D-741 has been named Ollie Naismith after a local teenager tragically killed in a road traffic accident.

The RNLI's website states this new lifeboat is of the very latest design and is faster than Regina Mary and it is fitted out with the latest high-tech navigation equipment and an updated first aid kit.
