26th June 2010 - Penzance Mazey Day
Penzance welcomes Mazey day.
Gol-Jowan (Golowan) is the midsummer feast of John. This festival incorporates Mazey Day with its mardi-gras style of processions.
The parade is led by the Golowan band.
Street musicians are on each corner.
Schoolchildren carry large papier mache characters.

One of the largest tableaux was from Mounts Bay School.
Two large blue seahorses.
Accompanied by a mermaid swimming.
