They have been assisting in a multi agency search for a missing person.
An elderly gentleman has been reported missing with fears that he may have fallen into Looe river by the Banjo Pier.
I understand a Sea King from RMB Chivenor assisting the RNLI, Police and Coastguard with the search this afternoon.
The lifeboats are tasked to Plaidy beach after a member of the public reports seeing a person matching the missing man's description.
Confirming the man's identity, he is taken safe and well back to Looe to be reunited with his family.
The search teams are stood down and the lifeboats return to port.
