22nd October 2014 - Joint Emergency Services operation to rescue a person who fell onto rocks at Hannafore.

Responding to an emergency call, police,fire and rescue, paramedics and HM Coastguard teams arrive at Rock Towers by Hannafore Point.

They quickly locate the casualty who has fallen some 70 feet down the cliff face onto the foreshore by White Rock.

As the casualty was being assessed by paramedics, Looe RNLI's inshore lifeboat D-741 Ollie Naismith was tasked to attend,
Cornwall Air Ambulance has landed on the Bowling Green at Hannafore.

Now on a stretcher the casualty is taken to the lifeboat.

As the tide was low, the casualty is transferred to East Looe beach.

With the casualty safely on East Looe beach the Cornwall Air Ambulance lands.

With the casualty on board the Air Ambulance takes off for Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Given the location, I was impressed with how quickly the emergency services were on scene.

The Bodmin Fire and Rescue Cliff rescue team also attended.

This was Looe RNLI's 60th call out in 2014.
