19th April 2014 - Looe sailing club - Easter Saturday racing.

It may be sunny but a strong South Easterly wind challenges the crews as they leave the river mouth and negotiate the bar.

The waves over the estuary bar prove challenging.

Club members in wetsuits help each crew to set off, out into Looe bay.

The blue sails of the Enterprise class.

White sails are the Laser class.

The larger red sails with wooden hulls are Redwings.

Tenby sailing club's Redwing - R221 Discretion gets close to Looe Sailing Club's Redwing R246 Nightingale.

Spectators crowd the Banjo Pier to watch the racing.

With the strong winds the course is set close to shore.
