5th February 2014 - Storm waves pound the sea defences on East Looe beach.

The forecasters were not wrong. The predicted Storm force winds arrive alongside the high tide.

Even though high tide levels are now falling the strong waves and swell battered Looe again.

Today Looe appears to have got off lightly with little additional storm damage, unlike our neighbouring communities of Kingsand, Porthleven and Dawlish.

The town folk of Looe are a resliient bunch, sweeping out the floodwater, shops and businesses are quickly reopened for business.

Looe is "Open for business".

Some of the worse flooding I have seen in Looe since the mid 70's.
