More than 100 silk banners in all the colours of the rainbow created by women from Forces families and community groups in Saltash,
Torpoint and Plymouth were unveiled at Mount Edgcumbe.
It is the start of a week-long art installation celebrating the region's maritime heritage and the vital support role played by the families of service personnel deployed abroad.
Over 100 Batik flags have been designed and created using a hot wax / dye technique.
