2nd October 2010 - Zapcat thrills and spills at Fistral Bay.

With the massive suff at Fistral bay there were plenty of thrills and spills for the competitors, safety team and spectators.

With the large surf at least one boat "flipped" during each heat.

The Zapcat safety team supported by local RNLI lifeguards spring into action.

Hands are raised to indicate an incident. The race is halted using a red flag.

The pilots are co-pilots are recovered from the water and checked by paramedics. The Zapcat is then recovered to shore.

With the surf and off shore wind the Zapcats take to the air. Sometimes the engine stalls.

Royal Marine overboard!. He is quickly picked up by jetski.
